The district court here has sentenced the steward of a Greek vessel, who had been arrested in Haifa in November for selling firearms. He had been caught by a secret service man, but the captain of the ship refused to give him up at Jaffa, but as the ship was passing Haifa, he was arrested. In passing the sentence, the judge said that arms traffic is the most serious offense in Palestine these days.
