Judge Benjamin Greenspan of the Magistrates Court addressed the opening meeting of the Hebrew Civil Service Association at the Broadway Central Hotel. His subject was the purpose of the Association. I. Harry Goodley, president of the Association, inaugurated the 1934 membership drive for civil service employees in the city, state and federal service.
The Hebrew Civil Service Association is composed of Jewish civil employees of the several departments and bureaus constituting the city, county, state and federal governments. It was organized to provide for the general welfare of its members and to recommend progressive civil service legislation.
