Israeli soldiers, who escaped a hand grenade that missed their vehicle in Gaza’s busy Medina Square yesterday, rushed to the aid of local Arabs who were wounded when the missile exploded in a crowded coffee house. One Arab was killed and 2 were reported injured. A search was going on today for the grenade-thrower, who was hailed as a “patriot” in a Cairo Radio broadcast which reported the incident and claimed one Israeli soldier was killed.’ An Israeli lieutenant was killed in a grenade incident on Sunday.
