Convicted of murdering Mosche Lipski, a Jewish shoemaker, during the anti-Semitic riots here last August 24, Waclaw Demper was today sentenced by the Grodno District Court to a prison term of six years.

The trial was the last of a series of both Jews and Poles for participating in the riots.

The court rejected as “ridiculous” the defense made by counsel for the murderer in which it was asserted that a Jewish mob attacked him.
