Don Beddoe, the brilliant young actor who will be remembered for his vivid performances in “Goodbye Again,” “Warrior’s Husband,” “The Greeks Had a Word for It,” and other Broadway shows, arrived today with plans for about eight dramatic offerings for the season. The Grossinger Playhouse consists of two separate units, one that confines itself to musical presentations and the other that does legitimate shows — one-acters and full length plays. Done Beddoe and Robert Williams direct the latter company under the supervision of Richard Mack who presents the musicals as well.
Pearl Osgood, the clever dancing comedienne who played in George White’s “Flying High” and “Manhattan Mary,” also arrived this week and will remain for the season, to be featured in musicals and several dramatic plays.
