A group of 14 youths affiliated with the Hashomer Hatzair–labor Zionist youth organization–sailed from here for Israel where they will settle in agricultural colonies. The number of Brazilian Jewish youths who have thus far left to take up permanont residence in Israel is 39. Three agricultural training centers designed to prepare Israel-bound Brazilian youths for life in the new state are now in operation here.
