Gustave L. Levy, investment banker and philanthropic leader, was elected 16th president of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York, at a meeting of the organization’s Board of Trustees tonight. Samuel D. Leides-dorf was elected as chairman of the Federation Board of Trustees. Founded 40 years ago this month, the Federation is composed of 116 member hospitals and welfare agencies which annually serve more than 650,000 New Yorkers of all races and faiths.
