Miriam Elias, the young Jewish actress who assisted Zemach in his Moscow “Habimah” Theatre, arrived in America yesterday. Another notable arrival was Colonel J. B. Barron, O.B.E., former director of the Palestine Department of Health.
Morris Weinberg, publisher of the “Day” of New York, who was abroad ### an official mission to study immigration, returned after having visited a number of countries. Leon Zolotkoff, prominent Jewish editor returned from Palestine, where he spent over six months looking into the printing industry.
Colonel Barron, who is Chairman of the Committee on Liquidation for the Orthodox Patriarchate in Jerusalem is here to confer with the American Committee for the Preservation of Holy Places in the Holy Land. Bishop Manning is Chairman of the Committee.
