Establishment of the “Josiah Wedgwood Fund for the Settlement of Refugee Youth in Palestine” was announced here today by Hadassah which has allocated $50,000 for that purpose. The money, which will be cable to Palestine shortly, will be used to set to set up a revolving fund from which young refugees who have finished their training under the auspices of the Youth Aliyah may make loans for land, seed, farm animals, agricultural implements and other equipment.

In a cable to Lady Wedgwood informing her of Hadassah’s action, Mrs. David de Sola Pool, national president, stated, “Lord Wedgwood’s luminous humanity, uncompromising liberalism and moral courage will remain an inspiration for generations to come. Hadassah is establishing this Fund in his cherished memory as a token of deep affection and reverence.” Condolences have been cabled to Lady Wedgwood by the New Zionist Organization. The Order Sons of Zion issued a statement here mourning the death of the pro-Zionist peer.
