A valuable anthropological collection returned by the German Government Museum in Berlin when the Nazis came into power has been presented by Prof. Hans Friedenthal to Hadassah, American women’s Zionist Organization.
Dr. Friedenthal, for thirty years Professor of Anthropology at Berlin University, has been living here for the past eight years. The collection is the fruit of many years’ work. It will be housed in the medical center now under construction on Mount Scopus.
The collection includes 100 photographs showing the development of the human being from ovum to the grave, 40 charts and pictures on racial theory, 200 physiognomical specimens, anthropometrical measurement instruments and exhibits on comparative anthropology.
Dr. Friedenthal is the author of important works on physiology, anthropology and racial theory.
