Commenting on a cabled announcement from Palestine that 500 Jewish doctors and dentists, most of them from Germany, entered Palestine this year, Mrs. Edward Jacobs, former president of Hadassah and now chairman of a committee to raise $200,000 for the new hospital in Jerusalem, pointed to the urgent necessity for up-to-date scientific facilities in Palestine to enable the new arrivals to continue with their professional work.
Hadassah also announced a national campaign under the leadership of Mrs. Herman Shulman of New York, to be conducted throughout the country during December on behalf of the Palestine School Luncheon Fund.
