A portion of Palestine will be reproduced in miniature at the Hotel New Yorker in connection with the eleventh annual convention of Junior Hadassah, the Young Women’s Zionist Organization of America, which is to be held August 19, 20 and 21, it was announced yesterday.
The reproductions will include a model of the children’s village at Meier Shfeyah, near Haifa, which the organization maintains. In this model will be exhibited the buildings and grounds of the village. Manikins will represent children at various indoor and outdoor tasks. There will also be a model orange grove to portray the Pardess Anna orange grove established by Junior Hadassah for training children in citrus farming.
The graphic display also will include the section of Jerusalem in which the Hadassah Nurses’ Training School is located.
Mrs. Sadie L. Feldman and Miss Deborah Sternberg, both artists of this city, are arranging the exhibit.
