More than 4,500 military and civilian war casualties were treat by the Hadassah organization in Jerusalem during the current budgetary year without any cost to the patients, Dr.Eli Davis, Hadassah medical deputy director, told a press conference here today prior to his departure for the U.S.
“From a medical viewpoint,” Dr. Davis reported, “the outstanding feature of Hadassah’s service has been its aid to war casualties. During the first few months of the fighting, Hadassah treated nearly 90 percent of all military and civilian casualties.”
