Hadassah, Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations Join World Jewish Congress, Welcomed

Dr. Nahum Goldmann. president of the World Jewish Congress, welcomed today the affiliation of two American-Jewish organizations with the WJC–Hadassah, the women’s Zionist Organization of America and the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations. Dr. Goldmann said the move was a step forward toward the achievement of Jewish unity and that it would enable the WJC to play a larger role in American Jewish life with regard to the problems of world Jewry. Dr. Goldmann also welcomed the election of Mrs. Rose L. Halprin as chairman of the American section of the WJC.
