American, English and French Interests Clash on Choice (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)
A denial of reports circulated by foreign press correspondents that an agreement has been reached for slating Haifa as the terminus of the Mosul oil pipe line was issued here by the Turkish Petroleum Company.
The company authorized the Jewish Telegraphic Agency to state that no decision favoring Haifa has as yet been taken.
A dispute concerning this matter has been going on for the past few months among the shareholders of the company. The French oil companies, which told an interest in the Turkish Petroleum Company, insist on Alexandretta, Syria, as the terminus for the pipe line, while the English and American interests favor Haifa.
