A shortage of both skilled and unskilled labor is now being felt in Haifa. The labor employment bureau is unable to meet the numerous demands for workers needed in such activities as house building, road construction and other public works. The situation is expected to become more difficult when the building of the new houses in the workers’ suburb at Haifa Bay begins shortly.
