Heavy bombing took place in Haifa today when enemy planes carried out a daylight attack, dropping bombs on every section of the city. There were no casualties but civilian property sustained much damage.
Some thirty thousand messages of good cheer have been sent by Palestinians to friends and relatives residing in Nazi occupied territories during the last eight months through the Red Cross, it was disclosed here today. Twenty thousand replies ware received since February. Eleven languages were employed in sending these messages including English, French, Italian, German, Polish, Hungarian, Roumanian, Greek and Dutch.
The Palestine post office maintains a special branch which remits small parcels through the Red Cross in Geneva to British and Palestinian war prisoners interned in enemy camps.
