Half of American Jews believe it is “racist” to oppose intermarriages, and 78 percent favor rabbinic officiation at such marriages, according to a recent survey of 1,010 Jews. It was the first time that the American Jewish Committee surveyed American Jewish attitudes toward intermarriage.
