About half of all Jewish concerns in Austria will be “Aryanized” by the end of this year and the remainder by August, 1939, Herr Rafelsberger, Austrian State Commissioner for Economy, announced today in an article in the newspaper Wiener Tageblatt. In his article, which dealt with Nazi plans to remove Jews from Austrian business activities, the commissioner said one-fourth of all Austrian Jews have emigrated since the country was annexed by Germany in March.
