Hamas announced that it would head the next Palestinian Authority government. “The prime minister will be a leader in Hamas,” Mushir al-Masri, a spokesman for the radical Islamic group, said Monday, confirming what seemed likely after Hamas won last month’s Palestinian Authority elections.
