The Heinrich Heine monument has been removed from its place of honor in the city park in Hamburg, following a decision of the Nazi state officials, it was reported here today.
Anti-Heine agitation has been conducted throughout the country in recent weeks. One Berlin paper declared that if the former Kaiser had not been so fond of Heine’s works and had not liked to mingle with Jews Germany would not have had its revolution in 1918.
