Pier Pasquale Spinelli, United Nations Under Secretary in charge of the European headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva, was named this week-end by Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold to head a group of UN officials who will proceed this week to Jordan for consultations with King Hussein in connection with the UN decision to seek stabilization in the Middle East. Mr. Spinelli was a career diplomat in the Italian Foreign Service before entering UN service.
