Gottlieb Hammer, executive vice-chairman of the Jewish Agency for Israel, Inc. left today for Israel to consult with officials of the Jewish Agency and the Israel Government on problems of financing, housing and rehabilitation programs for Israel’s newcomers.
While in Israel, he will also make preparations for the forthcoming Bankers Study Mission which is expected to arrive in Israel on September 2. Mr. Hammer was instrumental in organizing the first Bankers Mission in 1949. In the current mission, which is the seventh in this series, nine top officials of leading American banking institutions will participate.
