Hanna Meron, Who Lost Leg in Terror Attack on El Al, Named ‘mother of the Year’

Actress Hanna Meron. who lost a leg in a terror attack on an El AJ plane at Munich Airport last February, was named yesterday “mother of the year” at a ceremony at the President’s residence. The President’s wife, Mrs. Rachel Shazar, made the presentation before an audience which included representatives of women’s organizations and women members of border settlements, In accepting the award, Mrs. Meron said, “Those of us who live here accept what happens to us and have no desire to change our lot. This is our country, this is where we want to live.” Her three children attended the ceremony.
