Harold Berman, retired editor and translator, died here yesterday at the age of 70. A native of Lithuania he studied at New York University before serving as an editor of Jewish publications. Mr. Berman was associated with the Jewish Forum, Jewish Tribune, Talmud Magazine Jewish Woman’s Home Journal and other publications. He also translated from the works of Hebrew writers, including the late Prof. Chaim Tchernowitz.
