Harry Sockler, noted Jewish author, has joined the staff of the Joint Distribution Committee, it was announced today by Josoph C. Hyman, executive vice-chairman of the J.D.C. “Mr. Sackler will utilize his literary talent and knowledge of languages to clarify to the Jews of America the work of the J. D. C. and its efforts to help in the reconstruction of Jewish life in the liberated countries of Europe,” Mr. Hyman said. Mr. Sackler, in addition to his literary activities, has also been active in Jewish communal work.
