A resolution calling on the National Community Relations Advisory Council, the Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee “to re-open negotiations on the subject of coordination of national Jewish community relations work in the United States” was adopted by the Community Relations Committee of the Hartford Jewish Federation.
The resolution stressed the need for unity “at so critical a time” and declared that “the compromises which may be necessary to achieve our objectives will rebound to the benefit not only of the American Jewish community as a whole, but to the entire nation.”
