For the second time in as many years Rabbi Abraham J. Feldman of Temple Beth Israel and the Rev. Dr. John Milton Phillips, pastor of the Center Church, will exchange pulpits at Lenten season.
Rabbi Feldman will deliver the sermon at Center Church on Sunday, March 31. His subject will be “The Jew of Today Looks at Himself.” Dr. Phillips, speaking at the Temple April 5, will have as his topic “The Christian of Today Looks at Himself.”
When Rabbi Feldman last year preached a Lenten sermon before Dr. Phillips’ congregation on “If I Were a Christian,” he was said to be the first Jew ever to do so.
