The Twenty-third Manhattan Assembly District Republican organization gave its endorsement for the nomination of Judge Gustave Hartman of the City Court as Republican candidate for Mayor of New York City, it was announced yesterday.
It was indicated that this step marks the beginning of a struggle between Judge Hartman and Representative E. H. La Guardia for the Republican organization’s support in Manhattan.
