A call to American Jewry to “give its manpower and its political assistance, in addition to financial support,” to the Jewish community in Palestine in order to help in the establishment of the Jewish state was made at the first annual conference of the Progressive Zionist league-Hashomer Hatzair which concluded here last night.
Delegates from all sections of the United States and Canada attended the parley which lasted three days. The gathering adopted resolutions expressing solidarity with the Jews of Palestine and emphasizing that the future of Palestine depends on the creation of Jewish-Arab cooperation in the economic, social and political fields.
