Haskell H. Marks, Republican candidate for the New York State Assembly, was reelected by voters in the Third Assembly District.
Assemblyman Marks was returned to office by a plurality of 880 votes, obtaining a total of 9,858 to 8,978 won by his opponent on the Democratic ticket, Francis J. D’Amanda.
Mr. Marks is active in civic and communal affairs in Rochester and is well known in Jewish circles. He is president of the Jewish Young Men’s Association and only recently ended ten years of service as president of the New York State Young Men’s and Young Women’s and Kindred Associations.
