Hate-filled propaganda is being disseminated by political parties running in municipal elections, a Russian Jewish group warned. The Federation of Jewish Communities issued the statement three days before Sunday elections in Moscow.
A French extremist leader again minimized the Nazis’ use of gas chambers. Jean-Marie Le Pen, leader of France’s National Front, said in a BBC interview Monday that the gas chambers were “only a detail of World War II,” adding, “No chief commanding officer, not Churchill, not Stalin, not Roosevelt, not De Gaulle — none of them mentioned the gas chambers in his memoirs.”
