The November selection of the Jewish Book Club is Charles Edward Russell’s biography of Haym Salomon it was announced here today by Ralph H. Goldman, editor-in-chief and president of the club, at the organization’s quarters.
“This selection is regarded as particularly important by the literary world,” Dr. Goldman said. “A selection of the Jewish Book Club has at once literary value and is authentic art and is a genuine contribution to knowledge.”
Members of the board of judges are Dr. G. George Fox, chairman; Dr. Gerson B. Levi, vice-chairman; Dr. David Phillipson, Mrs. Rebekah Kohut, Dr. Felix A. Levy, Charles H. Joseph, Dr. Louis L. Mann, Prof. Harry A. Wolfson, Louis Lipsky and Philip L. Seman.
The October choice of the Jewish Book Club was Sholom Asch’s The Mother.
