The Hebrew Committee of National Liberation has appealed to President Truman to allow it to purchase $10,000,000 in surplus arms and ammunitions from the United States in order “to avert a war in Palestine in which American troops will have to be involved.”

A resolution calling for the export of arms and munitions to Palestine was introduced in the House by Rep. Frank Buchanan, of Pennsylvania.
