The first English supplement of the “Davar,” Hebrew labor daily, appeared today. In declaring the reason for this innovation the paper says that the Hebrew press of Palestine is using a medium which is not yet the language of daily use in the world, but having a message for British, international and Arab opinion, the “Davar” is instituting the English supplement.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Levie of Denver, Colo., have established an endowment fund to be used for the perpetual maintenance of the Marionbelle Levie Playfield at the Denver National Home for Jewish Children. They donated the playfield several months ago in memory of their daughter.
A kindergarten playroom has been dedicated at the home to the memory of David E. Harlem, Jr., in appreciation of efforts of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Harlem, for the institution.
