The Hebrew Teachers College, of Brookline. Mass., has been accepted as a member of the New England Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. Announcement of the College’s acceptance was made by its president. Benjamin A. Trustman.

The College, now in its 34th year, has been a constituent agency of the Associated Jewish Philanthropies, a beneficiary of the Combined Jewish Appeal campaign, since its inception. Chartered in 1927, the College has been authorized since that time to grant bachelor’s, master’s and doctor’s degrees in the fields of Hebrew literature, Hebrew law and Jewish education. It was originally located in Roxbury, Mass.

Members of the New England Association include most of the foremost institutions of learning in this region. Association membership makes the Teachers College eligible to apply for a Ford Foundation grant.
