The beliefs and practices of the great religions of the world are set forth with explanatory maps and charts for Jewish religion school pupils in a new textbook just published by the Department of Jewish Religious Education of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, rabbinic seminary here.
The new volume, “Our Religion and Our Neighbors” is the joint work of Dr. Sylvan D. Schwartzman, Professor of Jewish Religious Education at the Cincinnati school of the College-Institute, and Rabbi Milton G. Miller, rabbi of Temple Beth El, Elizabeth, N.J. The book, Reform Judaism’s first text in the field of comparative religion, is issued for experimental use in a limited number of Reform congregations this fall.
