Sixteen graduates were awarded diplomas at the fifth commencement exercises of the Hebrew Union College School for Teachers held Wednesday night at Temple Emanu-El, New York.
Dr. Frederick B. Robinson, president of City College, was the principal speaker. Ludwig Vogelstein, chairman of the executive board of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, Dr. Samuel Schulman, chairman of the joint committee for the school, and Abraham N. Franzblau, principal, addressed the graduates. The subject of Dr. Robinson’s address was “The Importance in America of Religious Education.”
