A series of lectures on Jewish centers in Europe destroyed during the war has been inaugurated at the Hebrew University. The lectures will commemorate those Jewish communities which played a leading part in Jewish public and cultural life in the past.
Among the lecturers are Professors B.Z. Dinaburg and Joseph Klausner, who will lecture on Odessa, Professor J. Gutman, who will speak on the Berlin community, Professor M.H. Torczyner and Mr. F. Lachover, who will deal with the history of Warsaw, Professor Hugo Bergman, who will speak on Prague, Dr. M. Broida, who will speak on Lwow, Dr. I. Simon on Frankfort, and Mr. G. Alon on Lithuania.
