A religious center on the new campus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem is to be established shortly in tribute to Dr. Israel Goldstein, it was announced today by Daniel G. Ross, president of the American Friends of the Hebrew University. The project is being inaugurated in conjunction with the approaching observance of Dr. Goldstein’s 60th birthday.
Dr. Frederick R. Lachman has been appointed executive vice-president of the American Friends of Hebrew University. He will direct the nationwide campaign for the Israel university which is now conducting a worldwide drive to raise $30,000,000, the sum required to rebuild and re-equip the University on a new site at Givat Ram, Jerusalem.
