Dr. Judah L. Magnes, president of the Hebrew University, who will be 60 years old on July 5, will be honored by the university staff by the issuance of a special volume including articles by all scholars and scientists now active at the university.
The volume will be printed entirely in Hebrew to demonstrate that the ancient language now possesses a comprehensive modern scientific and technical vocabulary.
Dr. Magnes was formerly rabbi of Temple Emanu-El in New York.
