Hejjas, one of the leaders of the Hungarian Race Purifiers was returned to parliament in a closely contested election. Hejjas received a majority of $6 votes. It was said that his campaign directors compelled many Jews to ca? their votes for him.
When the final election returns came in, it was seen that many deputies of the opposition, including several Jewish deputies, were reelected in the large towns.
