An interesting scene took place today in the House of Commons when two British Home Secretaries, one Bourgeois and the other Labor, engaged in a discussion concerning the attitude of Great Britain toward immigration.
Mr. Bridgeman, the last Home Secretary before the Labor Government, came into power, asked the present Home Secretary, Mr. Arthur Henderson, whether the Labor Government still continues the practice of not permitting immigrations to land without the permission of the Ministry of Labor, if they are seeking permanent work for which British men and women are available.
