The hope that the post-war world will be tolerant to Jews was expressed here to a correspondent of the Associated Press by Henry Ford, who reached his 78th birthday today.
“There is need for the Jew in the world, and it is bound to be recognized,” Mr. Ford said, “Among the Jews are some of our ablest financiers and greatest merchants. They understand trade. They know that all prosperity is based on the ability of the farmer to buy. And they know the value and function of competition.”
