Henry Morgenthau, former United States Ambassador to Turkey, and Chairman of the League of Nations Commission for the Relief of Greek Refugees, after a five months stay in Athens has proceeded to Geneva. From there he will leave for New York.

According to Mr. Morgenthau’s report, it is estimated that there are still 150,000 Greek refugees to look after, making a total of 1,136,000 Greek refugees who have suffered the loss of all their property as a result of the Turko-Greek war. It is Mr. Morgenthau’s plan, with the aid of the League of Nations, to settle these refugees in Macedonia. This would be the largest mass colonization scheme ever attempted.
