Sir Herbert Samuel, former High Commissioner of Palestine and prominent Liberal statesman, today visited Emir Abdullah of Transjordania at the capital, Amman. The Emir and Sir Herbert, it is understood, discussed the Emir’s forthcoming visit to London.
The Emier’s London visit has aroused a great deal of speculation in the Palestine Arab press, which is being echoed in Hebrew newspapers.
Despite sensational stories published by Arab papers, the British insist that Emir Abdullah’s trip to London is merely one of courtesy.
