Riviswing the biographies of Lincoin that had been written since his assassination in 1865, Mr, Hertz leclared that only in 1909 was there “a real awakening to the g#atness of Abraham Lincoln.” Only since then, he said, has there been any real attempt at rese# into lincoln’s life, and the re# discoveries have done much to refute the attacks made on the ma# tyred president during his life.
