A grant of $120,000 has been made to the Esbrew University in Jerualem by Silas E. Perry, prominent British philanthropist, to promote Biblical studies, particularly the writing of a commentary on the Bible in a form easily understood by the layman. One-third of the gift will be set aside for the erection of a new library wing, while the remaining $80,000 will be used over a pariod of years.
