The Minister of the Interior of the State of Hesse, Heinrich Schneider, has urged his regional district commissioners to expedite the handling of indemnification applications filed by needy, elderly or invalid Nazi victims.
The Minister also instructed the district commissioners to investigate the possibilities of rationalizing the processing of indemnification claims. Efforts should be undertaken, the Minister wrote, to conclude the indemnification program prior to the 1963 deadline.
