Hezbollah is engaging in “a form of ethnic cleansing” against former allies of Israel who remained in Lebanon after the Israeli troop withdrawal, according to the former deputy commander of the South Lebanon Army. Hezbollah is “oppressing and trying to empty the villages” of southern Lebanon, Col. Sharbel Barakat said at a meeting in New York hosted by the Middle East Forum.
